THE CONTINUING MISADVENTURES OF PHIL...

As you may or may not know Phil our drummer has broken his wrist. As you can imagine this causes all sorts of nuisances for a man in his line of work.

If you saw the last email you would know already but we thought everyone was owed a bit more of an explanation because you've all been coming to gigs and contributing to our album appeal and then suddenly we disappear.

We were just about to book a tour and release the Apply Machine EP but then, that fateful Sunday night, Phil called to say what had happened and I had one more reason to hate sporting activities. All three of us were really knocked sideways by it, hence our disappearance for a while and the lack of gigs lined up. We were making really good noises as a band and then, suddenly, we weren't. We thought about being a duo for while until he fixes. We thought about gigs with a one armed Phil. We thought about sacking him - this was the favoured option but we can't because we dont pay him and it actually costs him much more to be in the band than not. And it was his idea which just takes all the fun out of it. And I owe him money and he's still got my drum stool...

No, we all decided to do "the right thing" and wait for our Phil to get better. Probably just like the Ninja Turtles or the Scooby Gang would have. But, praise be the heavens that don't exist! Phils a tough'un and he's healing remarkably quickly according to the NHS and they reckon he should be able to rehearse again very soon. As far as we are all concerned that is really good news. We thought at first that we might not get to play until the New Year but now it looks like the beginning of December. Things haven't stopped and we haven't disappeared, we've just been delayed a little.

Here's the plan:

• Right now we are getting on with recording vocals for the album tracks we already have instrumental takes for. We're also spending the downtime finding people who might want to review the Apply Machine EP. If you would like to review it or know someone who would then please give us a shout.

• When Phil feels better we start rehearsals again.
• We release Apply Machine EP and start gigging again in early December.
• We finish recording the album.
• We bring about planetary alignment like Bill and Ted.

APPLY MACHINE E.P.

It's been about 4 years since we released the 'Love From' cd and that's just too damn long! More to the point we have NO official recordings with the magnificent Phil thrashing the beats at the back. It's just WRONG.

Senor Merola is now hard at work mixing and we cant even come close to expressing how excited we are by the noises coming out of his lab.

Coming soon - the 'APPLY MACHINE EP' will smash it's way into your life and nothing will ever be the same again.

DEBUT ALBUM

Recording for the debut album is going REALLY well. We've recorded at Unit 7 with Huey, One Life productions with Simon, Lockdown with Mark and of course - the Snack Mansions Alejandro Merola sessions.
